Steps
> Step 2 - Coding, events, etc.
-
Generating
a Zigzag text is done in two steps. At step 1, the actions
mainly involve editing the text, the size of the textual segments,
the formatting and the display style (matrix) of the text.
Once these actions have been completed, you can move to step
2 in one of two ways:
- Select
the
button
on the toolbar.
- Select
the Steps > Step 2 - Coding, events, etc. menu.

- Once
you are at step 2, it is no longer possible to return to step
1 without deleting all the actions taken at during step 2.
For example, with a text containing distractors and images,
returning to step 1 would lead to the automatic deletion of
the distractors and images.
- To return
to step 1, you can do one of the following:
- Select
the
button on the toolbar.
- Select
the Steps > Step 1- Segmentation, font, etc.
menu.

Note.
Zigzag Generator allows you to generate a text with a
minimum of sequential constraints. Thus, distractors can be
chosen before or after adding images, or before or after creating
questionnaires. You also don't need to complete an action before
going to the next one: you can select an image, select two or
three distractors, write one or two multiple choice questions,
and start the whole process over. However, there are some unavoidable
constraints while generating a text, the most important of which
is the one stipulating that all operations from step 1 be complete
before proceeding to step 2.
The following
table lists all the commands which somehow affect the text to
be generated. With few exceptions, these commands are only accessible
at one particular step in the text generation.
